Sky with Roof

Just a pedestrian bridge over the A1, at Tempsford, but the sky beyond was quite seductive, even if it was only a small porthole between the sturdy stanchions diminishing into the distance.

After another visit to the Household Waste Recycling Centre at St Neots, I took the long way home and drove past Tempsford, where I saw the structure of this bridge and the sky beyond.  I took a rest from listening to Desert Island Discs, in which Dickie Bird was charming Sue Lawley (it was an old one), and walked in the fresh and chill air to the A1.  It was strange to get out of the car and walk the bridge, but I enjoyed the calm of the (relatively) unused A1.
