The Caburn
Approaching the steep ramparts of the Iron Age hill fort on the Caburn on this morning's walk with the spaniel. There were fierce winds and heavy showers as we got to the top but then we dropped down into the sheltered valleys of Oxteddle Bottom and Bible Bottom. The sun came out and suddenly there were Common Blues all around and even a couple of Clouded Yellow. Then it was back up into the wind rushing over Cliffe Hill and Saxon Down as we turned for home.
