This is the "Hielanman's Umbrella", After the second phase of the Highland Clearances, highlanders who spoke Scottish Gaelic but not English came to Glasgow to find work. Over the years more continued to arrive and they kept in touch by meeting under the bridge where they would share news and gossip from their homeland and of events in the city, hence the name.

My album of the day is "With The Beatles" by The Beatles. Their first album announced their arrival, this album changed the pop landscape. I adore their music to this day, too many good tracks to mention, innovative Merseybeat sound, clever lyrics, call and response vocals, chunk of my childhood in 33 minutes
