Mandarins
It's been a gloriously sunny and warm day today - I was so glad that Mum and I found time to head off to a country park to wander beside a lake at the end of the afternoon. We saw a nuthatch and a crested duck but were both absolutely thrilled when I spotted a mandarin duck under low hanging trees the other side of the water. Our delight multiplied as we spotted more and more of them - at least a dozen in total! I've never seen more than one at a time! They were largely hidden by twigs and branches, as well as lurking in the darkness, but I managed a few shots. I've included another in extras (one of the clearer views I had of them!)

Thanks very much for everything for yesterday's 'Lake Reflections'!
