Beach in September

At last ...... a few days off. Not a European get away but welcome nevertheless. Day exploring West Sussex, including West Dean Gardens and The Witterings where the beach was packed - in September, on a Monday?! Checked into hotel ( which was not as described or shown on Booking.com but after a change of room - it was acceptable and comfortable.
