Ding dong the trache's gone!

Rafi had his trache tube removed at 11.00am this morning. He's doing well despite some gurgling, he seems to be managing to protect his airway and cough up what he needs to.
He had a terrible night last night, I left him at 2.00am, but he didn't really settle all night due to bladder discomfort we think. the nurses were fantastic, constantly changing his position and trying different ideas to help ease his pain.
It's 9.10pm now and he's fast asleep and nice and relaxed so I hope he stays that way and has a good night.
