Old and New...

...glasses. The one on the left dates from the mid 1880's, and is one of the earliest of the EAPG patterns made. (Early American Pattern Glass). Some experts attribute it's manufacture to Adams and Co., but that's never been proven. This particular pattern is called Curtain Tie Back. The one on the right is a modern version of a wine glass, infinitely simpler in form, but lacks the character of the older glass. Which would you prefer if you had the choice?
