Storm Ianos

There are a number of colourful steps in Lixouri, Kephalonia, including a piano keys one. They won’t look like this right now. The island was in the eye of a Mediterranean hurricane yesterday, and today the army arrived to help in the clean up operation. Had it not been for the pandemic we would have been there last week. One of the islands most beautiful villages, Assos, was hit the hardest and pictures on social media look like the aftermath of a serious earthquake. Fortunately there were few injuries and no fatalities.
In between reminiscing about Ionian islands, food shopping, and catching up with post holiday admin the day has slipped by. The forecast looks not bad for tomorrow and I have plans to put my newly acquired map and compass skills to work on Ben Lomond. Thus far I have resisted reading the gloomy Observer, except for the food supplement. I hope the upcoming further COVID restrictions in Scotland do not go as far as restricting travel to 5 miles, that would be tough.
Oh yes, and I did some experimenting with my phone and vegetables, thanks to @fastaperture, but before I had watched the YouTube clip otherwise I would have chosen a different background. The extra blip is my first effort.
