Crosstrainer
Not only did John Lewis have a freezer in stock for the first time since March but it also had a crosstrainer. It said it "needed some assembly" (see extra). It took both of us about 2 hours and lots of cross words to get from B to A.
The idea is that, during the summer the garden keeps us fit, but in the winter it's good to be able to burn off some calories. Once the garden is put to bed for the winter, and the daylight hours are short, our hill often gets snowed in, and we need a little exercise.
We've put it in a sort of polytunnel that adjoins the house. A previous owner (who must have been a farmer) built it about 40 years ago and it's really useful for protecting pot plants and garden furniture from the frost. Any sunshine makes it lovely and warm, and I fancy pedalling away in a snowstorm!
