Diary of an Edinburgher

Luxury Breakfast

JR cancelled her 9.15am Pilates class, so we had time to walk across the Meadows to have breakfast at our favourite new cafe. Jings it was wooly hat weather - that wind was coming straight from the North Pole.

I downloaded the app, and so I could order things from the table. Brilliant. I could order the coffees when we wanted them, after we’d eaten. We had a wonderful ‘bowl’ of delicious thick plain yoghurt, fresh fruit (bananas, strawberries and pineapple), honey and seeds. (£4)  And that purple smoothie tasted of peanut butter. Yummy.

A very cold walk home, fire on to warm up, and I put on the Tour de France. That was it - I got settled, warm and comfy, and didn’t want to leave. They were cycling up steep, never ending twisty roads.

JR and Archie went out for another walk. I didn’t.

PS My new ‘British’ passport arrived.
