Last Day in Melbourne

Tuesday was our last day in the Melbourne area. How did nearly 3 weeks go by so quickly? We've really enjoyed our time in Melbourne and its been great catching up with Chris & Claire - they've been perfect hosts and spoilt us.

So today we had another drive around the Mornington Peninsula to explore a few of the places that we'd not yet seen. One of the places we stumbled across was the old Portsea Quarantine Hospital - many of the immigration ships from the 1850's onwards carried a lot of illness and disease when they landed in Oz.

On our return to Bonbeach we stopped at number of pretty beaches to take (many) photos (well, one of us did!). This photo was from Rye beach showing the pier in the background. Every beach seemed to have a pier.
