Old versus New

Decided on a trip to Flamborough this morning. As usual we like to make an early start and given how busy it was when we returned to the car this was the best option.

We walked from North Landing along the coast to the Lighthouses. The old seventeenth century light house was originally built out of the white chalk the coast is famous for. It now is a listed building sitting on the edge of the golf course. 

We then walked on to the newer lighthouse situated nearer the cliffs. We then extended the walk to take in more of the coast before retracing our steps. We were home by 1:30 as more people were still journeying to the coast.

We are so lucky to have such a wonderful coastline less than an hour from home.
