Tarn Hows

We are in the Lakes with eldest son Stephen. We seem to have hit a good spell of weather so are looking forward to some fell walking.

We set off this morning hoping to avoid the inevitable build up of traffic on a Friday afternoon. We felt if we got into the Coniston area (where we are staying) then the travelling was finished with.

Although Tarn Hows was busy we took a higher route in order to get a slightly different perspective on the Tarns. Lots of happy memories of exploring the area when the children were small. Then numerous visits with Orienteering coaching youngsters. A great introduction to our short break.
