Saturdays are for hills

This morning we had our first SYFC Prayer Breakfast on zoom (late to the party, I know). We were joined by a couple in their caravan in Buxton and our treasurer from the beach in Aberdvyi, as well as all the usual suspects from Shrewsbury. As ever, a lovely time together.

I then headed to some (mini) mountains recommended to me by my colleague, Becci, who is the resident outdoors Queen. The walk took in three peaks, the highest one being the last. The views over the Dee Valley were awesome and a nice treat was hearing the Llangollen stream train in the background. The peaks were pretty moor-like but still made for interesting walking and the descent was through deliciously green forest. Will definitely do it again and take dadaroo next time.

It was so sunny at the end of the walk that I tried to stop in Llangollen for a beer but it was, predictably, heaving. So I came home and had a pint at the local with Grace instead. Every good walk should end with a beer.

Homemade pizza for dinner to end a lovely Saturday.
