Wombling
We were up early (for a Saturday at least) to join the litter picking group the “Aylesbury Wombles” who had come to our village with all the litter picking kit. We spent a fun couple of hours collecting rubbish from hedges and the roadside. Annie and I collected six bags of rubbish, one bag of cans, two car hubcaps, a builder’s hard hat and a folded up steel sheet!! Not a bad morning’s work.
This evening we’ve been over to Stevenage to take Immy out for a meal. She moved there a week ago as she’s doing a placement year with a major pharmaceutical company. It’s all been a bit uncertain with Covid impacts so she’s working from home there right now but hoping to be in the labs soon. It was good to see her and great to catch-up face to face.
