Lunch stop...
While we waited for the replacement part on the car to be fitted today, which wasn’t going to take very long, we visited this pub in the village of Pluckley. We just had a drink as they were in the middle of serving lunch and snack orders were having to wait. Not a problem.
The motto, loosely translated means,
I do not want to alarm cannot be afraid.
Interesting!
The rest of the day has been taken up with gardening. We should have done a lot more over the summer to prepare for the border plants I ordered back in May. My extra shows just some of them. Pleased with what we’ve achieved though and the plants come with instructions as to how to “store” them if the beds are not yet completely ready.
My apologies to the real gardeners here on Blip!
We’ve watched the Last night of the Proms. So sad to see an empty Royal Albert Hall. Some London landmarks have been suitably lit in support of the occasion. I remember this time last year when we were near Hyde Park and saw all the people gathering for the open air concert on the big screen, next year we’ll join them! Little did we know what a years time would look like.
