Diary of an Edinburgher

Last Night of the Proms!

A relaxing day at home. Just porridge for breakfast, no full fry-ups today!

Archie went out with Elizabeth for the day, and we couldn’t be bothered going out, but just slummocked around at home. Actually, I watched the Tour de France. All those cyclists going so fast, and so close together. And whizzing around corners. My heart was in my mouth!

When Archie came home from his big walk with Elizabeth, we gave him his tea and left him with a new bone while we popped over to visit Hazel. We had a lovely evening there, with wine and nibbles, admiring all the new stuff - I haven’t been in her flat since the beginning of lockdown. When we came home, four hours later, Archie was still chewing and licking his bone! All good.

We were in time to watch the Last Night of the Proms. Which was different, but still rousing.

I have decided to find out more about the ‘swinging wheels’ stabilisers. To get a tricycle - though they do look very cool - would mean getting a bigger car.

If you haven’t seen the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards of the Year, they’re worth a look.
