Emily Jane McLeod

Emily has stayed in our flat for six weeks.  She had been putting in weeks of daily 18hr shifts, nursing Covid patients in Glasgow, so she needed the R and R.  Not exactly all R and R however as she did lots of reading in preparation for her PhD which commences in October.  She also had her two cats with her.  She left on the morning ferry.

We discussed Anne Applebaum; between sessions when she was either running around the parish or swimming in the sea.  Angles can be deceptive, she is 6' 1" and towers over me.

Her current read is Alexander Solzhenitsyn.   She's planning to rewire Europe next Wednesday.

CMC spent some time on the phone this morning trying to reassure Phyllida; the alabaster soup tureen she ordered online, from Pittsburgh, hasn't shown up.
