Margret (next door)

Regular followers will have heard about Margret (next door) over a number of years. In normal times, we see her and/or speak to her on a daily basis. We are great friends and she is always ready to help out with anything we need.

She has not been able to come to see Mum from the distance and comfort of our conservatory, because she has had shingles. The treatment is over and she can't be infectious now. (Not that it is the most infectious thing in the world, but we have been playing safe.)

This afternoon we had a long chat and catch up. It's so much better than on the 'phone or by email.

I have given Arth a very quiet day. We did half the ironing then stopped. I walked as far as the village shop and back. We had a long lie down with an ice pack after lunch.

Arth has been almost pain free all day, which is wonderful. I did 0.75 miles on the exercise bike and that was a pain free ride too. Hooray!
