In the beginning

Please offer your sympathies, these are the walls I have been dealing with. Rory and I even had a big argument because I was insisting on not using the roller because the wall comes off, but he used it anyway and in one stroke four bits of wall fell off.

Our building must be very old because former tenants found a newspaper from 1940 under the bath (of course very interesting actually!). We also have a blocked off room with no door but a window on the first floor. Someone climbed in to check we weren’t in a horror movie but it’s empty, we wonder if it might have been used in the war or something? The pub brewery next to us also used forced labourers in WW2, where I also worked upon arriving in Germany though thankfully under much better conditions!
