Gates? Bridge?
Who knows.
Amazing what you come across in the midst of a Derbyshire forest.
Uncomfortably close to the Chatsworth estate and every village we’ve passed through has the same dark turquoise green paint work so this could have been something to do with the Duke’s quarrying activities.
Quite a long walk today from Darley up to Rowsley then onto Calton Lees, Beeley and then by circuitous route through the forest to where we saw the above, to Northwood and back along the railway path to Darley. Nearly 19 km all told.
Certainly ready for our dinner tonight.
