Less Smoke but Very Windy!

Thank you so much for your kind comments on yesterday's emergency blip. We did end up losing power last night for about three hours - hardly anything compared with those who still don't have power, so I'm not complaining. It was very windy today but the direction has shifted just enough for the smoke to be elsewhere, thank goodness. That was about an eerie a night as I can remember. 

It was difficult to be outside today because it was so windy, so mostly I worked at my desk. I posted my dahlia photo from two days ago on my Instagram feed (same name as here if you're interested) and for some reason it's taken off and I have 650 likes so far...I've never had much more than 100. The algorithms of social media...I'll never understand. But it is amazing to watch!

I must admit that this is not a photo from today...I went out to shoot and it was so windy that everything is a blur. And I was afraid of being conked on the head by a sycamore cone or whatever those balls are called. I swear that half of my neighbor's tree is in my garden. So this lovely bumblebee is enjoying being the topping on a Verbena bonariensis :-)  

Exciting times! Off to make a lovely chicken curry for dinner. Happy Tuesday to you all!
