Old Drove Road from Kailzie Hill

Despite the forecast today turned out to be sunny and warm.  I headed to the hills walking from Cardrona and down this section of the old cattle drove road. 'Raiks' can be seen here, the dry stane dykes, used to keep the cattle contained when near settlements. Drovers travelling south through Peebles paid to be allowed to graze their cattle at Kingsmeadows, which is now a park and big housing estate.
