Beautiful weather again today. More yoga, more walking, and a visit to the pretty bay of Archirondel this afternoon for coffee and cake with friends.

This is a very photogenic cove (see the actual beach in extras) and the tower - known as a Martello tower - was one of a number of round towers built to help protect the island from invasion in the 18th century. These days it's a high-spec holiday let, but I remember a long ago youth club activity weekend there which was not in any way luxurious!

Came home and cooked a nice dinner for J and I; she is feeling sad that she will soon be leaving her friends here to go back to uni. It's not just that though is it? We all have this seam of fearful uncertainty running through us.
