Dora our guide (from Rhode Island) leading us on the ice with our borrowed boots and crampons. They would definitely help in getting to the village shop in the bad weather!
Off to Franz Josef tonight but will pass up another glacier trip as we have to get up north to Marlborough for our walk on Wednesday.
