Monday evening, Lakeway Drive

At first glance, one might think this was an image of how we would travel about in the future, morphed into tiny bundles of light particles, we zip to and fro without a concern about traffic, gasoline, or speeding tickets!

That day will come, but it wasn't today. I was simply experimenting with a few settings on my Olympus XZ-1 (my newish camera which I love, love, love). The "night scene" setting doubles your exposure, resulting in the headlights and taillights appearing to paint the night with their red and white light.

My next purchase will be a compact, lightweight tripod (which I may well have in the bowels of my unpacked garage) which would enable me to get better quality shots with long exposures. It was fun tonight though, standing alongside the road, seeing what sort of light patterns I could catch with the camera!
