Ducky
Despite a fairly good shot of a Hairy Woodpecker, and another of a few bees on the flowering bamboo, I’ve decided to blip Ducky, one of our three cats. He’s difficult to capture because of his black fur, but I caught him with my cell phone as I was coming down the stairs • He’s 10 years old and was adopted at a local shelter when just a baby. His back feet are unusually large, plus extra toes, and when a baby he reminded us of a duck. Quack! Quack! • When he’s happy he wags his tail just like a dog. He’s sweet, sensitive and so lovable. Our boy only has a couple of teeth because of an autoimmune disease • He’s the glue that keeps this dysfunctional cat family somewhat together. His brother, Grouch, was adopted at the same time, and Duck has always accepted his place as number two cat. When Newt, the once-feral cat, was introduced years later, it turned our cat world upside down. After almost two years, we’re managing okay. Most days are good... • Our Ducky is easygoing, loves to eat and prefers to play by himself. Mousie is his favorite toy • We hope you have a ducky kind of day!
