Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2020 Tuesday — Driving North

After walking the two pups on the Cayucos shoreline late this Tuesday afternoon, we drove the 4+ miles to enjoy dinner at DiStasio’s in Morro Bay. We had mentioned earlier in the day that the Italian restaurant in Cambria has delicious meals.

So after walking with the pups, I said let’s skip the 12+ miles to Cambria and go have spaghetti dinner in Morro Bay. And we did!

Today’s photo is from the drive back to Cayucos from Morro Bay, north on Hwy #1. Some of the windows of the houses on the hill were beginning to magnify the light as the sun is dropping earlier and earlier each evening.

In the early day I wrote notes on postcards to several friends. I think snail mail is a thing of the past, but somehow or other I still enjoy sending mail and I definitely enjoy getting real mail. So I wrote. We took those to the Cayucos Post Office.

Every morning Mr. Fun is out walking the shoreline. His doctor has told him that walking is the very best exercise. I don’t know that he is losing weight, but he’s thoroughly enjoying the unpopulated beach and he has made a friend or two . . . a couple who have moved here from Temecula (which is south and inland from our SoCal home), and the husband is the recipient of a liver transplant. And every day he meets someone who is here on vacation; vacationers are almost always happy!
