2021 Wednesday — New Month

This was a good day. Our shadows returned. Yesterday was the last day of Fogust. Today the sun came back.

We had a late afternoon meeting with a contractor — a new to us contractor — to discuss our backyard and what we’d like to have built. Back in May we started discussing the backyard with Brian the contractor and he got an engineer involved, but we’ve not been comfortable or satisfied with the information/advice either of them have given us. So that is why we have recruited a new contractor for his input, advice, and estimate, and we’ll give him the job if it is feasible.

Because the month of Spectacular arrived, we celebrated with a rather spontaneous dinner at the Sea Shanty. When dinner was over, I got Chloe and Mitzi out of their little beds in the back seat of the car and walked them home so that they could also enjoy the wonder of this first day of a new month, while Mr. Fun drove the car home. As we were arriving back to the house, Mr. Fun was upstairs capturing our photo.

I am not sure how the fog and sun knew that “fogust” was over, but they did.

And we celebrated!
