First of many.

People who suspect they may have coronavirus are now able to receive a test at the St Andrews walk-through Covid19 testing centre. It was opened last week; it’s the first in Scotland and probably U.K. Many more are planned by NHS Scotland. It’s an important resource for the local population, which includes returning national and international University students and some tourists.

We decided to go into the Rector’s Cafe for a snack; our first covid19 eating out experience - it’s somewhere we always like to drop in to. The University has set it out properly. Textbook style. Well done.

Earlier we walked along the West Sands to the end of the beach; low tide, open and empty spaces.

Watched the Programme for Government 2020-21 statement and First Minister’s daily briefing after our outing. And at tea time came the announcement imposing restrictions on indoor gatherings in 3 areas of the West of Scotland. 130 cases in 2 days. Disappointing.

Family chat. All well.
