Rose sawfly

While John filled the skip with all the kitchen stuff, I cut back the laurel, plum tree and we cut down one of the small sycamore trees. Spotted these cute caterpillars on the rose, there were lots of them I accidently knocked a few off but carefully put them back on the leaves.... Except I now know they are not so cute caterpillars, they are rose sawflies which will damage the rose, but still they are cute!

John managed to clear out the whole of the kitchen and made great progress and the garden looks good with the trees cut back. The girls enjoyed playing restsurants in the temporary kitchen area.
