Diary of an Edinburgher

We Eat Out to Help Out More

Torture session this morning at Body Street. But the wee puppy, who now has a name - Zara - was there. She’s a quiet wee soul, doesn’t cry, sleeps all night and loves to cuddle.

JR and Archie went for a walk in the Hermitage while I was out, and when they came back we went into town to Eat Out Some More. Archie was left with his frozen stuffed bone. We were away for over three hours, but he was still happily licking it when we came home, and barely lifted his head. Good.

We had lunch in a Thai restaurant that I haven’t been to for years. And it was splendid. The food was served so nicely (JR had a big flower in with her prawns wrapped in filo) and for the first time ever, I could have chosen just about every single thing on the menu.

After lunch we popped in to the Dome (Extra) for a drink. It’s such a fabulous place, and we haven’t been there for ages. They do famously splendid Christmas decorations. And when we came out - there was our bus, just coming along. I love that!

Later on, Hamish, Archie’s idol, came round with his mum and dad. We’d collected a parcel from their doorstep while they were away at the weekend, so they came to collect it. Archie was delighted that his big pal had come to visit, and they raced around the garden like, well - daft dogs. Then Hamish would disappear inside and come back out with one of Archie’s toys, especially squeaky ones. They were rushing around too fast for me to get a photo of them.

We have a treat tomorrow - wee Pretzel is coming to stay with us for the day.
