domesticated ice

I brought these in to tame them but they left puddles all over the kitchen.....

and now I want to whinge about Monday.
1. does it have to be so bloody long?
2. why does it have to happen right after a holiday?
3. why does it have to involve cars that don't start, shedloads of snow, hurting knee, boring crap I don't want to do and fellow humans who seem to think I should be CHEERFUL? Why cheerful of all things? Isn't tired and narky enough for a Monday?

I think we should start breaking Mondays down into bits and have a little bit each day - the crap bit of monday only lasts about 14 hours so we could do two hours of it each day and not waste one whole day on wishing it was over and wanting to shout rude words at people. I'd like to do those bits when asleep. Then the rest of life could be cheerful and wonderful. Meh.
