another day another bike ride

It was a wee bit chilly this morning.  Had my winter longs on.  We added a few more miles on to last week's Tour de North Crawley.  

Coming down the Col de Chicheley I saw the speed creeping up, so tucked my head down and managed to hit 30mph (freewheeling...)  See extra.  Looked over my shoulder and Anniemay's close behind - big grin.  

It's been a very long time since I've done that sort of speed on a bike.  Nearly 60 years in fact. See other extra.

There's a big fat almond croissant waiting for me when I get home.  I've been saving it since Wednesday.  A bit tough and chewy, but good enough after today's effort.
