Not looking good.

That sky was a warning of what was to come today. Miserable, it’s rained off and on all day. Every time I thought I’d get the dogs out for a second walk, down it came!

Just had a long chat with Hayley, she is quite worried about going back to school after her maternity leave. There seems to be very few guidelines in place for the poor teachers. Pupils are not allowed to face each other (how’s that going to work?) but they all face the teacher! And with her new job she will be dealing with 7 schools and about 6,000 students and staff. And the bubbles in her school are 200. Some classes have 33 pupils, the school isn't built to be able to 'social distance', there's barely enough room for them as it is. She finds it frustrating that all the news coverage is about primary schools and not secondary, or about the staff, repeatedly being told that children are at less risk of catching the virus, and then to be told staff need to be careful in the staff rooms! Everything is uncharted territory, but it’s a pity nothing has been sorted over the past few months.
