Wingecarribee elegance
A sewer access cover in Bowral, with Council logo.
Wingecarribee Shire Council was named after the Wingecarribee River. In the local Dharawal language the name is said to mean ‘a flight of birds’ or ‘waters to rest beside’. The area is known as the Southern Highlands and the Council logo features the highlands and the New South Wales state flower, the waratah.
That's a lot of elegance for a sewer cover.
