Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Slip sliding away!

I'm sure these toadstools weren't there yesterday? Why can't slugs and snails focus on them instead of my lettuce? They clearly are enjoying them.
What a wet day today, I was almost glad to have a day off Zooms! Such a range of different modes to them too.
The first was a friend's funeral being streamed on Facebook from the cathedral in Dundee, it was very 'right' for her. Sad though as she was only my age and died very suddenly. The church service overran so she was late at the crematorium. I think she'd have laughed. The committal service was streamed too. I'm glad I went to both parts it was good to feel part of the send off.
I had an hour off and then it was time for our monthly Cursillo Ultreya meeting.
In the interval though, just as I sat down with a cuppa, Colin phoned. He'd gone to church using my car and the battery had died so he'd had to phone the RAC (fortunately I have a new MOT- he checked!) he was going to have to wait a while for them to arrive so wanted his kindle. I rushed round to church and got back to my computer just in time to welcome everyone to the meeting. We had 25 screens which was good, our numbers are creeping up each month.
We finished by 4pm, so it was another quick cuppa then time for our weekly Zoom evening prayer. My friend whose computer glitch I'd fixed last week was there and hearing things loud and clear so that was good.
Ali came round just as we were finishing dinner, so I cried off bridge and drove her home. To be honest I was all Zoomed out and glad of the excuse.

Keep well and safe everyone.

Steps today a miraculous 6500
