Fairy Pools

Our day was spent at the iconic Fairy Pools, one of Skye 'must see' tourist attractions. Like a lot of the attractions, we arrived and despite the poor weather and constant drizzle, the car park was full....of people and midges! Despite being slathered in creams and sprays, the midges were relentless. This perhaps detracted from an otherwise enjoyable trek up to the famous waterfalls which is in a very attractive setting with a backdrop of stunning mountains. Alas, we were more focused on swatting away the midges than anything else!
