Another day, another hill

I was lying in bed, wondering what I was going to do with my day when I got a message from dad suggesting a walk before the rain set in. So we headed out to Moelydd, near Trefonen for a lovely (Autumnal) walk. It did drizzle on us but I’m quite glad about that because it made me realise that my boots and my jacket both need waterproofing.

So after a quick lunch stop at Groove, it was home to do all the waterproofing (although I’m hopeful this won’t be necessary for my weekend in the Cotswolds with Rob).

I’m finding that I’m having to mentally prepare myself for autumn and winter. Mostly I’m telling myself that adventure is still out there, it just needs a bit more thought. I’ve been inspired by the brilliant Alpkit about having a ’Go Box’ in your boot ready for when you might need it. It’s been fun making my box and hopefully it will force me outside when I’m not feeling like it.
