Rafting on the River Aare

A wonderful day with friends spent rafting along the River Aare from Thun to Bern and then we took the train back. Fantastic trip. This is a local pastime in this area and just after we finished the trip we saw hundreds of people entering the water and swimming downstream. Most carried their clothes in dry bags (some of them designer bags) so they were able to change afterwards. So different from our pastimes in the mountains.

In the evening we walked into Thun again and saw some street theatre. See the extras.
