Job Well Done!

We met for our monthly work group (or meithail ) today, the task was to dismantle an old fence, then erect a new one, so the chickens could be moved onto new ground.
Tim actually made the paling fence using Douglas Fir rather than the traditional Sweet Chestnut. We wired this fence to posts in the ground and also added some chicken wire at the bottom, an extra precaution against the fox getting in.
The chickens are doing a great job keeping the weeds down around the fruit bushes and of course manuring them at the same time. We finished early so those interested could watch the England v Ireland rugby match. Then it was a slap up supper, much needed after a days work.
