Tree Work
I spent a good part of the day transplanting young birch trees which had self seeded under a more mature tree. it's quite hard work digging the holes for the roots and I was hoping it would not be a wasted effort if the commonage which surrounds the farm is burnt again as it was a couple of years ago, the fire spread onto the land with dire consequences for the existing woodlands. Some farmers do burn for that brief flush of green grass for their sheep.
So my blip is one for the journal, a sack of trees, Beany the cat who kept me company whist I worked and daffodils in flower in the orchard.
