The Brothers' Point, Isle of Skye

Day 3 of our trip was supposed to be a quiet day in anticipation of Storm Francis and we were both recovering from yesterdays exertions. As it is, we managed to complete 2 shorter walks, one around Portree, along the shoreline (see extra) and one called The Brothers Point, which is north of Portree. This was a relatively obscure walk but one which was enjoyable all the same. There were very few walkers and it was nice to discover a part of the island that was relatively tourist free. It requires walking along the coastline and heading for a dramatic piece of headland. The theory behind the name (disputed by some) is that there was an order of brothers who once had a presence here.
