Old Man of Storr

Day 2 of our hols in Skye involved a trip to visit two or Skyes best known tourist attractions: the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing.
Both walks, which are about a 30 minute drive away from each other, involve some steep ascents and a big of scrambling. Mrs P unfortunately had a fall at the Quiraing, and though bruised, persevered but returned once we reached a rock structure known as The Prison.

Both these walks were exhilarating and offer some of the most scenic panoramas I've ever experienced in the UK or abroad. Well worth a visit if you are ever in this neck of the woods. Just watch your footing.

Today's blip is taken from the base of the Old Man of Storr looking across to The Needle. The extra is one of the views taken from our walk in the Quiraing.

PS correction on a detail from yesterdays blip entry of Coral Beach. The beach is technically not made of coral but of crushed skeleton of seaweed.
