He's an Alien!!!

I'm sure everyone has heard that daft joke about the nervous passenger who shut his eyes as soon as the engines started to roar and gripped the arm rests with terror. He opened his eyes ten minutes later and said to his friend when he bravely glanced
out of the window,
'Ooo look at those people down there! They are so tiny that they look like ants!'
His friend replied, 'They are ants. We haven't left the ground yet.'

I had a moment similar to that. After I'd fastened my seat belt and everyone else had stopped slamming the overhead locker doors and messing about, the captain announced that we'd be a little bit late taking off as they were just de icing the wings and it would take another five minutes or so. I wasn't bothered, in fact I was so unbothered, I dozed off! A savage pain in my neck woke me what felt like an hour later, I glanced out of the window, saw the grey tarmac and assumed we'd landed and got my phone out to switch it back on! It was only the evil eye of a man in the opposite aisle stopped me! Glancing out of the window, I could see that we were moving backwards, reversing out of the plane parking spot - well I don't know what you call them! - and we were about to depart! I was quite shocked and had a minor out of body experience but a look at my watch confirmed it was only about fifteen minutes later than when I had sat in my seat.

How weird is that? I am writing this as I am sat on the plane up in the air somewhere (with flight safe mode enabled on my iPad of course). It will save time later to have written this to accompany that picture of that odd man at Gate 24 of Glasgow International Airport who never smiled while reading his Viz comic. He must be an alien, don't you think? Even my mom looks forward to having a giggle about The Fat Slags, Felix and His Amazing Underpants and Finbar Saunders and His Double Entendres.

Note to self - must buy Viz tomorrow.
