Here Be Ele-phants

The title is for G, she will understand.

So. Berlin. Got here despite Deutsche Bahn's attempts to dawdle. Honestly it was just like some stroppy kid not wanting to go for a Spaziergang on a Sunday afternoon. "I want to stay here" "Why? This is Hanau and it's a tip."

Our version of that conversation lasted 30 minutes.

Berlin is freezing, so thankfully it was only a 15 minute walk to the hotel from the U-Bahn Station (a station with a "colourful" history, I'm just very glad that it is not as infamous as its reputation). On the way to my Hotel I passed these two beautiful carved Ele-phants and knew immediately that they had to be my B lip for today.

The hotel is very chic and I feel very out of place. I shall not be sitting in the bar drinking wine (13 Euro for 0,1l) of an evening... Instead I shall be doing homework and, I bloody won't, you know. I will have a bit of an explore, in the way that the curious and curiously shy do.
