Morning walk.

Took this on this morning’s walk. Just as well as it’s the only pic I’ve taken today.

Five months since we were catapulted into Covid lockdown. Hard to believe, and it’s still very much with us. Way back, 5 months ago it was all new and novel, we threw ourselves into clearing cupboards, drawers, garden sheds, you name it and it got cleared. We never quite actually believed it would last so long, even though we knew it probably would. We had bad days, good days, but like grief it was never coordinated between us. It was a kind of grief for the life we’d had and taken for granted, no matter how many times we told ourselves we shouldn’t take things for granted. We ‘zoomed’, had weekly quizzes, they have trailed off, but that could be because (for us) of the arrival of a new grandchild in the middle of it all.

I’m a glass half full kind of person, and at the start I enjoyed some aspects of it all, no traffic for one thing. I hoped people would continue to appreciate the beauty of our countryside, but instead they trashed it and left their rubbish, which is so disappointing.

Throughout this I’m so glad Chris (AnnieAndChris) Kathy ( chantler63) and Carol (carolbutterfly) persuaded me to join this wonderful site. It gave me something to think about and aim for each day. I love a bit of routine!
