Exhausted after a very noisy night of torrential rain and a massive storm. I’m not used to a tin roof these days ! Everything outside is awash and the river burst it’s banks.
Met up with Y,S and Little D, walked to the Mizen lighthouse. Weird weather - Close, muggy, still and foggy. Ideal for midges ( we were all nibbed ) and bad for a view. Little D had spotted a sailing boat - unbelievably sharp eyes , we couldn’t even see the sea!
Lunch in a cafe - V expensive, v poor quality and too many people ( we exited when it started to get too full, asking people to self regulate 2 m distances is a rather hit and miss affair).
Had the first sea swim of the year , we all went in at the beach by the air India memorial in Ahakista, in the pouring rain! It was fine , just had drying off issues !
All back to Lisa’s for plenty of space.
