Reading material

A wet and windy day, and lots of “chores” to work our way through.

So a quick blip of some of my current reading material.

This week finished “Birds in a Cage” by Derek Niemann. A retirement gift from my sister. Excellent. Hopefully our current predicament will not last so long :-)

I am reading Emma Mitchell’s “The Wild Remedy”. I love her photographs.

“Vesper Flights” by Helen Macdonald. I really enjoyed “H is for Hawk”, so looking forward to this one.

Also started “Nature’s Metropolis” by William Cronon. The history of the relationship between the developing Chicago and the Great West in the 19th century. Bit of a tome, but looks good. And I love good history.

I probably also subscribe to too many magazines, but as I enjoy them all it’s staying that way. New Scientist is one of my favourites, and I have also started getting the Guardian weekly. As we haven’t been into a shop since March, and I love printed newspapers, this is compensation.

I just need to find some time to read.
