Another wander through the east end. Shoreditch this time.  Spotted this lady tending the beans in her courtyard.

Embarrassing moment: as I was buying a coffee a young couple behind me in the queue were discussing the jars of peanut butter on sale. As they were obviously American I asked them what the US favorite peabar and jello sandwiches are like. The girl looked blank. I explained that this is our understanding that Americans love those sandwiches. “But we’re Scottish” she replied. Ah. But she accepted my apologies and I took my coffee to a bench and hid.
